Storytime - “The Ugly Duckling” by Hans Christian Andersen

Participants will listen to the story, discuss what they learned, and share their favorite parts of the story. No matter what others say or think about you, you should always be yourself.


Origami Art - Participants will explore the art of origami by making swans, cats, and dogs by folding paper into abstract representations of the animals. Crayons will be available for creative expression on their animals.


Every Animal For Itself - Participants will use dry erase boards to draw their own representation of a variety of animals that call North Carolina home including the tundra swan!


Animal Charades- Participants will be split into two teams and send one volunteer to the front of the room to silently act like a random  animal.  The other team will attempt to guess what animal they are!
